We get several enquiries daily for mediation services, mediation training and observations. As you can imagine several of our clients (to include some solicitors) have never used mediation before, and when they call us, they are in such a panic and cannot sometimes articulate what they require. To make our enquiry process easier for our clients we have created the below guide.  If you require a mediator for a dispute we need the following information from you.

Mediation Quote Information

  1. What type of dispute do you have?

For example, is it a property, contract, landlord and tenant dispute.

  • The value in dispute if any?

There is no value, twenty thousand pounds, six hundred thousand pounds.

  • How many people will attend the mediation?

Just two the claimant and defendant. Three people, four employees.

  • Is the mediation to be in person or online via Zoom, or a mixture?

The parties have asked for it to be in person. The parties live too far away from one another and zoom would be the preferred option. One party is not IT literate so the mediation can be in person with them, with the other party connecting via zoom.

  • Have court proceedings commenced?

No, yes, if yes, how far along in the court process are you?

  • Are the parties legally represented?

No, yes, represented but the solicitors will not be in attendance at the mediation.
